Kyanite

Natural kyanite is an aluminum silicate mineral known for its deep blue tones and naturally striated, blade-like structure. Its elongated, fibrous layers create a subtle sheen and a refined yet dynamic appearance. 

Material & Formation

Formed in high-pressure metamorphic rocks, kyanite is often found with quartz, garnet, and mica. It ranges from pale blue to rich indigo, sometimes with silvery or translucent bands. A defining feature is its anisotropic hardness, varying with crystal direction due to its layered structure.
